13. The Broons’ House, Scotland
The Broon’s house is a one of a kind building on Loch Shin near the village of Lairg. It’s said that loving neighbours in this community collected money for this house after a heavy storm in 2015. According to popular comics, a huge family lives in this house. The water level rose by 10 meters (393.7 inches) when the hydroelectric power station was built in 1950.

It’s rare to find a modern house with a cellar. But for this unique building, you literally have to go into the ground for food and sine storage.
This ground fridge provides a constant temperature, therefore your food and wine are always cool. You can even use it as a shelter when it’s raining.
11. The smallest house, the Czech Republic
This is one of the smallest houses in the world. It is found in Prague. It is only 2.25 meters wide outside. It was built between 2 ordinary houses in the middle of the 19th century. At one time it was an art studio and a shabby bar at different times, and now it’s used as a vestibule.

There are 1,864 islands in the archipelago on the USA and Canada border. The biggest Islands are inhabited, there are about 1,500 people living on the largest island. Can you imagine that Just Room Enough Island has just one house with a backyard? And communications are run by one company which supplies each island.
9. Steve Areen’s house, Thailand
Located in Northeaast Thailand, is this beautiful, inspiring dome home that belongs to Steve Areen.Steve built it on a mango farm using clay bricks. He also revealed on hi website steveareen.com that it cost him $9000.
8. One-square-meter house
Finally, we get to meet the smallest house in the world! This tiny house was built by Van Bo Le-Mentzel, an architect from Berlin. It is only one square meter wide, but it has its own wheel, a door, window and chair. This tiny house weighs 40.8 kilos and even has its own wheels.
7. Snowboarders’ eco-houses
This snowboarder eco house belongs to Mike Basich, a talented snowboarder. It is a very tiny house, measuring (23 sq.m.) . Mike built it in the mountains and what’s even better is the fact that he used only eco materials to create this cozy building. Heat and light are provided by solar cells.
But he did not stop at that, Mike also built this small house togrether with his friends which he uses for travelling.
6. Foldable houses, the Netherlands
You must be thinking- How is this even possible? I know, me too!
It’s unbelievable, but you can actually fold these houses within a day! Heijmans constructed these unique mini-houses which are supplied with a kitchen, a living room, and a bedroom. There is also a cozy patio with rattan furniture as a bonus. How brilliant!
5. A hotel in a Boeing, Costa Rica
Not your ordinary kind of hotel. This rusty 1965 Boeing belongs to one of Costa Rica’s businessmen, who bought this airplane, put it near an azure lagoon, and hired designers to create a vivid hotel using it.There’s no doubt this masterpiece guarantees a safe “flight.”
4. The Exbury Egg
Stephen Turner, an architect, adores experiments. Working with SPUD Group and PAD Studio, he created this beautiful egg-shaped eco-house. The amazing Exbury Egg (length — 6 meters, diameter — 2.8 meters) can also be located in the water, so you can enjoy the beautiful water scenery while living on water. There is also a shower, an oven, and a hammock bed. The energy is provided by the Sun.
3. The Pier House, Great Britain
This tiny house located in Conwy, is in the Guinness Book of Records. Its area is 5.49 sq.m. People had been living there from the 16th century up to 1900. The last person to live in it was Robert Jones, a fisherman, unfortunately but he had to move out because of the low ceilings. Nowadays it’s a museum that belongs to Jones’s descendants. How cool!
2. UFOGEL eco-villa, the Alps
The UFOGEL house was created by Peter Jungmann. It is 45 sq.m. Peter got the name from 2 words: UFO (unidentified flying object) and Vogel (a bird). This house eco villa is also available for rent.

This walking house was developed by 2 creative companies: N55 and Wysing Arts Centre. The overall size of this incredible house is 3.72×3.5×3.5 meters, and the weight is 1,200 kilos. It moves slowly with a maximum speed is 37 mph. Windmills and solar cells supply the house with energy, and there is also a wood-burning stove inside.
