The effects of gluten on human health can no longer be ignored in today’s age, especially with so much research going on in this area. It turns out gluten poses some serious problems for many people out there. Research shows that gluten intolerance can’t be confused with Celiac disease anymore, because it is a problem in its own and damages the gut directly. Out of the many subtle and tangible symptoms associated with gluten, vomit, diarrhea, debilitating pain are some of the more obvious ones.

Stomach ache
A major sign of gluten intolerance is the stomach ache that comes with eating food rich in gluten. Along with the stomach pain, you can also feel diarrhea, constipation and gas, and if you do, you better get yourself checked up fast because these are clear cut symptoms of gluten intolerance. The condition will worsen if you don’t take it seriously, and you will probably end up damaging the lining of your intestine. Moreover, the food you eat will have zero nutritional value as your system will fail to absorb the minerals, vitamins and energy from it.
Dizziness
If you are overtaken by a strange feeling of disorientation, or brain fog that throws you off-balance after eating, then again you need to give your gluten intake a check. Although, these feelings have to do with the brain, and in matters of the brain it is difficult to exactly pin-point the cause, but more often than not gluten is the culprit.
Lactose Intolerance
Lactose intolerance intensifies gluten allergy, so if you are aware of your lactose problem than there is no way you can let your gluten intolerance go unchecked. Lactose food comprises of specific type of sugar elements that are known to trigger digestive issues, and in turn, have an adverse effect on gluten intolerance.
Itchy Skin
One of the more obvious signs of gluten sensitivity is manifested by the behavior of your intestines after processing the gluten you have eaten. The intestines react by becoming inflamed, and any effect on the intestines directly reflects on your skin. That is why gluten problem is usually accompanied by a skin condition like eczema and psoriasis. In short, skin can act as a litmus test to find out if you have any issues with gluten, and I am sure you won’t be able to miss something as obvious as the condition of your skin.
Headache
If you are confused about the reason behind the headaches you feel after your regular meal, then again you need to get yourself checked for gluten intolerance. These headaches roughly take up to an hour to settle in are directly related to the brain. The reason is that the brain gets disturbed by the food you are having so it’s best to keep an eye out for the effects your food is having on your brain.
Mood Swing
The food you eat is a strong determinant of your mood, and if you feel miserable even after having sufficient amount of it, than that itself is evidence enough to suggest that you need to get check your gluten intake. It’s a rule of the thumb that if you are having mood swings then your food has definitely got to do something with it, hence getting yourself checked for a gluten allergy is always the safe option to go for.
Chronic Fatigue
A feeling of fatigue is likely to take over if your mind and body are reacting to gluten. It’s a pretty easy sign to detect, try taking a full night’s sleep and see if you still feel tired, if yes, then you need to consult your doctor for gluten intolerance.
Fibromyalgia
If you are suffering from severe pain in your muscles, ligaments and tendons, and you are unable to figure out the cause, then you are probably a victim of a chronic condition called Fibromyalgia. It’s not much to worry about because fortunately you can get rid of this problem by avoiding foods with gluten!
